Your future starts at Karlon
Why Karlon?
At Karlon Group, we cultivate talent, recognize and reward excellence, and value the contributions of our team. Our work helps growing companies succeed in an ever-changing, always competitive landscape.
Many on our team came from Big 4 accounting firms, bulge bracket investment banks, or in-house roles in accounting and finance at growing companies.
Karlon team members work in all areas of accounting and finance and across a spectrum of clients and industries, providing career advancement opportunities that aren't possible at most other organizations.
At the heart of our work is teamwork. You’ll work with a diverse group of intellectually curious, hard-working colleagues, each bringing a unique perspective and expertise.
Our corporate values
What we look for
Make yourself heard
If you want to be heard, you have to speak up. We encourage people to be bold and share their informed opinions internally and with clients.
Challenge the status quo
The world of accounting and finance is plagued with old ways, legacy systems, and manual processes. We help our clients by embracing new technology (that works) and finding ways to automate.
Find solutions
We traffic in problems. Often our job involves identifying problems and sussing out the root cause. But we only succeed for our clients when we find solutions.
Always be learning
Our ability to find solutions is driven by an innate desire to understand. We love candidates who are insatiably curious and love to learn new things.
Proactive progress
Nothing gets done until someone does it. Being proactive means taking the initiative to execute and implement solutions. It’s critical for our clients.
Be a perfectionist
In accounting and finance, we usually don’t have the luxury of employing the 80/20 rule. Details matter. Accuracy matters. The quality of our work is paramount in what we do for our clients.
Do it right the first time
We don’t like shortcuts that create more work later. Doing it right means saving time.
From the start, you’ll work with clients on multiple engagements across a range of industries. It’s not uncommon for all members of an engagement team to work directly with companies’ senior leaders, including CEOs, CFOs, and members of the Board.
We believe strongly in apprenticeship based learning. We typically recruit candidates with at least 2 years of foundational experience in audit, tax, or banking. But much of the learning is cultivated on the job, giving you limitless potential to level up your career.
Teams at Karlon typically include 2-4 team members. Depending on the engagement, teams can include members from both our finance and accounting practice areas.
